PE Times – Please ensure that your children have suitable footwear and clothing for PR. PE timetable is available on the blog.
Extra Curricular Activities – Please check the blog for further information on this.
Safety on the Road – We’ve had some complaints about parking in the morning and pick up times. We would ask that you park in the designated area as there are four schools in the area. We would ask you not to turn on the main road, instead it would be better if you could continue down station road, past the Community College and right onto Adamstown Avenue. The bus parking bay must be kept clear at all times. We would ask that you would cooperate with this and show due care to fellow road users.
Adamstown Cricket Club – As part of the Lucan Festival 2010, you are invited to the Adamstown Cricket Club Cricket Tournament on Saturday 25th September at the new Cricket grounds beside the Railway station. This will involve the 6 a side Cricket Match and a kid’s cricket match. For further information contact Sanjeeb on 086-3036564 or Olag on 085-1424525 or log on to www.adamstowncricketclub.ie
Computer systems – Members of the Adamstown Cricket Club have been working on the installation of our new computer system over the last couple of weeks. We will shortly be looking for volunteers to assist in the unpacking and installation of some of the terminals.
Intel – We expect delivery of a number of new Intel Laptops on Thursday next. These laptops have been donated to us as part of a pilot project run by Intel and Smart. We are delighted to say that we are the first school in the country to use these computers.
Lucan Festival – There are a number of programmes left at reception if you want to see what will be going on during the festival or you can log onto www.lucanfestival.wordpress.com. This festival runs from Monday 20th – Saturday 26th September. Activities for young and old alike.
Free things to do in Dublin for the whole family – Should you be stuck for something to do with your family on those rainy days, log onto our website www.acetns.ie, click on Useful links and then click on City of Dublin. This will give you an update on all free activities in the greater Dublin area.
Reminder – Please ensure that your children brings a fresh face cloth everyday and bring their lunch in a reusable lunchbox.
Policies – We would recommend that you familiarise yourself with our policies on anti-bullying, child protection, complaints procedure and homework, etc. You will find these policies on our website. We would also suggest that you look at our Information Pack which is also on the website
Parents’ Association meeting – The PA will hold a meeting tomorrow Thursday 23rd September here in the school at 7.30pm.
