SPHE (Social, Personal & Health Education) – copies of this document are available in our school office for your perusal. This document will be ratified by the BOM in March 2010.

Green Schools – (We are aiming to achieve a Green Flag and must make our school more environmentally friendly) We would like to encourage parents to put their children’s lunch in plastic/tubberware containers instead of using tinfoil and clingfilm. Also all children are requested to bring home their lunch rubbish. This is to reduce the amount of rubbish which we send to the landfill.

• Thank you to Vitalie and Tina, parents of Torsten from Martha’s class for their kind donation of books to the school. If you wish to donate age appropriate books to the school, we would be delighted to hear from you.
• Unlike most schools in the area, we have been very fortunate in that we have suffered no vandalism whatsoever over the past two years. Unfortunately, we had a large window broken recently. I would ask parents to text me should you see any groups on the school grounds outside of school hours on 087-9687142.
• Thank you to Sarah & Fabrice. Sarah as you may not be aware is our very competent and meticulous treasurer on the BOM. Since we opened, Sarah has been looking after our finances and our billing. Sarah & Fabrice designed a superb system for the running of the school which she sells to other schools for the nominal sum of €100. All proceeds from this have been donated to our school to enable us to purchase a Sra Reading laboratory and reading materials for the school. Thanks Sarah & Fabrice!
• Text a Parent is now up and running. Thank you for returning your mobile numbers, we would like to advise you that we can only use one number per family. It is your responsibility to inform us if you change your mobile number.
