Adamstown School Timebanking

There was a long discussion on timebanking. The five Educate Together Schools in the Lucan Area have signed up to the creation of a Lucan Timebank. The schools are to act as Hubs initially with the view to moving out into the wider Lucan area. Numerous examples of how this could be set up or operated were discussed. It was generally agreed that the all the partners (Parents, Children, Teachers, Board, and past pupils) in the school would be involved.

Workshop on 'Timebanking in the ACETNS' to be organised on the 7th of September with a limit 20 participants. Jacques will be facilitator for this workshop.

South Dublin County Council: Prepare Council Resources, Issue 10,000 Credits, Research Constitution, Check Google Apps. and the Volunteering Website, Time Exchange Sheet, Draft membership,

Educate Together Policies on Child protection and Volunteerism,

Schools: Check Insurance, Survey the School and Volunteering Activities, List assets, Griffeen to look at the IT aspect of this.

Schools to meet with the Schools' Committees/Parents' Associations' before the 27th of September. Possible launch of the first Lucan Timebank will be around the Halloween break.
